Health Services

Health services in EPSD are aligned with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the district to support the Whole Child. The team provides evidence-based, clinically-competent, quality care to our staff and students. Our District Nurse recognizes that each student has unique health and safety needs that require an integrated, collaborative approach to address barriers and supports related to education and health.

School health offices are staffed by highly-trained health assistants or unlicensed assistive personnel who are trained and supervised by the District Nurse. Estes Park School District is continuing to support best practices surrounding all communicable diseases, including (but not limited to) COVID-19. Our #1 priority is keeping students/staff in classrooms, classrooms open and keeping our staff/students safe. Regular hand washing is one of the best ways to remove germs, avoid getting sick, and prevent the spread of germs.

The guidance "How Sick is Too Sick"/¿Cuál es el punto en que uno está demasiado enfermo? will be used to manage the spread of all communicable diseases in our schools.
